Corruption: A privilege

January 29, 2010

It’s not an editorial… just a simple talking.

How does the word CORRUPTION becomes equal to the word PRIVILEGE?

We have seen a lot of politicians every year gaining a lot of money despite the fact that they have no business at all.
Simply because they are being bribed and paid by different companies and groups who wanted to do or establish
a business within their locality or within the country as well (for those National Officers).

As what my friend said (a friend of a of a big political dynasty in their place), every time there’s a transaction or whatsoever
contract of business (whether legal or illegal) where my friend’s friend Dad is involved. They always get a big money out of it.
As fast and as easy as that.

Well, it has been part of the constitution, I mean of our nation (even in the other countries) that corruption is
a big part of their lives, of those greedy public officials who says “I’m a servant” when campaign comes,
and after that proclaims himself/herself as the authority, the most powerful, the superior.
However, they don’t call it as corruption. They tend to use lighter terms like “privilege”.
Because they are not stealing those, as what they always say, they are given.

What an excuse… a brilliant excuse!

Corruption isn’t tantamount with privilege (read dictionaries, Google it, or whatsoever).
And probably I assure you that Mr. Webster would agree with me.
This privilege-privilege is just an excuse of a greedy person *as what I’ve said.
A selfish one, who ran on the election
to take the position and use it to take the chance of doing his/her so called “privilege”.

That is shameful, awful and all. Yet they don’t mind public pressures and criticisms.
They don’t want correction. Because for them they are clean. Blinded by their privilege schemes.

Pacman: The king of the Crowd

January 28, 2010

It seems like when Pacman starts to step a foot back here in our islands from abroad, Filipino people are like celebrating New Year on the streets. Waving their banners and hands. Giving him a sweet smile. In short… a warm welcome.

Here in the Philippines, this boxing superstar is considered as a hero.
Because whenever he comes back, he helps a lot of poor people not only
in General Santos, where he grew up, but also to the other provinces and
organizations within the country.

In fact, he had made a lot of things compared to other local and national officials.
That is why he has been held as the King of the crowd and a hero in most of
the poor citizens eyes.

Crime rates drop to zero whenever he stand on the ring and move around
and make his opponent sleep like a baby. That’s a temporary Philippine peace.

Though others may find it weird, funny, or what have you… still
most of the Filipinos supported and loved him despite of the
issues he’s involved.

In that way, Pacman is not only a boxing superstar in this world, not only a king of crowd
for his fans…
but also a hero… a big hero in his people’s heart.

Clottey’s confidence to stun Pacman

January 28, 2010

Despite the bitter comparisons and negative comments against the Ghanaian boxing fighter Joshua Clottey,
he is confident to make Pacman stun in their fight this March.

He says that he has the guts to beat the boxing superstar and let the world know that he’s good enough to
play inside the ring.

“You see I have a lot of [tools] to beat Manny Pacquiao,” Clottey told Boxingtalk.com.
“I have my defense in there and I’m a strong welterweight. He’s fighting with one of the best out there and
I think I have everything to beat him and when we get to the ring, I will prove it to everybody.”

Clottey declared that he will never make the same mistake that Cotto did in his fight against Pacquiao.

“Cotto thought he was a small guy and he didn’t think Pacquiao was going to hurt him with a punch.
But this is boxing and our chin is there to be hit.”

As a matter of fact, last June, Clottey was then beaten by Cotto in their fight via a controversial split decision.

This humble boxer respects Pacman’s power inside the ring and he wont say any bad things about his opponent.

“God willing I knock him out, then my money will start coming crazy.
I can’t tell you I will knock Pacquiao but I will make so many differences in the ring.”

Pacquiao against Clottey

January 28, 2010

Well, we may not see Pacquiao-Mayweather figth this year but we can definitely witness an alternative yet exciting fight from our favorite “Pambansang Kamao”.

Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao is now preparing for his figth against the Ghanaian boxing sensation Joshua Clottey.

As what Freddie Roach said, there’s a need for Pacquiao to exert effort and prepare himself  for a 12-round fight.

“You can’t count on knocking this guy out because he’s never been knocked out in his life. He’s got a good chin and he’s a very durable, strong guy,”

said Roach. “But I’m not saying we can’t knock him out. I think we will, somewhere along the way. But we’re going to be ready for 12 hard rounds.” (posted in Sunstar’s website)

Despite the fact that this fighter named Clottey had lost 3 fights and had been disqualified twice, still he has this title of being strong for not

experiencing a knock out in his 39 bouts.

Manny Paquiao considers Clottey as a good fighter. Though a lot of people are saying that he (Clottey) is weaker than Cotto and most of all Mayweather.

Still, as what Pacman had said, it’s a much more awaited event of the year. So let us support our National Kamao and prepare our selves for his fight this March.
